I saw Frank buying a baby cot
I could hardly believe it. I met Frank at our local furniture shopping centre a couple of weeks ago. I had not seen him for over four years, and I remembered him as a guy in trekking shoes and a polar fleece jacket who was always in a hurry, going somewhere, either on a hiking trip to the mountains or running to catch a plane to Norway. Well, on that particular day he looked different. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a sweater. And what"s most important, he was there with a woman. I had thought he was rather a loner. It was a pregnant woman, to be precise. They were looking at some baby furniture. Actually, they were choosing a baby cot for the child that was just about to be born. As soon as I was a hundred percent sure it was really Frank, I approached him and said hello. He looked at me and smiled. He was happy to see me. He introduced me to his wife, Kate and boasted that they would have a son, Dave. He also explained that they had just a couple of days to do the shopping. They needed a baby cot, some clothes, blankets, bedding sets, sleeping bags and other necessary items. I was really happy to see Frank, even if his new image had shocked me at first. I asked him if he still liked travelling, and he told me that they were going to New Zealand in a couple of months. Well, a nice first holiday for Dave. I hope they will stick to the plans.
